you know: used to emphasize something that you are saying 用于强调自己所说
Independence [ˌɪndɪˈpendəns]: the freedom to organize your own life, make your own decisions, etc. without needing help from other people 自立，自主
take control of: 控制；掌管
Joey: And hey, you need anything, you can always come to Joey. Me and Chandler live right across the hall. And he's away a lot.

hall: (also hallway) passage in a bullding with rooms down either side 走廊，过道 (亦作 hallway)
Monica: Joey, stop hitting on her! It's her wedding day!

hit on someone: to start talking to someone to show them that you are sexually attracted to them 搭讪；挑逗
wedding day: 举行婚礼的日子
Joey: What? Like there's a rule or something !

(so) what?: used to indicate that the previous remark seems unimportant, uninteresting, or irrelevant to you, especally after someone has crticized you 那有什么了不起！那又怎么样! (表示别人刚说的话对自己不重要；没意思或不相干）
or something: or another thing simllar to that mentioned 或诸如此类的事物
Chandler: Please don't do that again. It's a horrible sound.
请不要再这样做了。这是一个可怕的声音。
horrible [ˈhɔːrəb(ə)l]: very bad or unpleasant; used to describe something that you do not like 极讨厌的，糟透的
Paul: It's, uh, it's Paul.
是Paul。
Monica: Buzz him in.
让他进来。
buzz someone + adverb/preposition: to let someone in or out of a place by pressing a buzzer to open a door or gate 用蜂鸣器发信号使某人(进来或出去)
Joey: Who's Paul?
Paul是谁？
Ross: Paul the Wine Guy, Paul?
Paul? 那个调酒师?
Monica: Maybe.

ask someone out: to invite someone to go out with you, especially as a way of starting a romantic relationship 邀约（吃饭、跳舞、看电影或看演出)，尤指男女之间的约会
